What does the three-way switch on the side do?
The switch allows you to choose between a cardioid polar pattern, for recording in front of the mic, an omnidirectional polar pattern for recording from all around the microphone. The middle selection also allows you to record in a cardioid pattern, but with a -10dB pad applied to it, for recording especially loud sources.

How do I record from the mic and input at the same time?
Make sure the “Inst/Mic” is selected as your input, and then set up two mono tracks on your recording program. Make sure to assign the left and right inputs to different tracks. The left channel will have the mic signal, and the right channel will have the input signal.

How to I set the channels on the receiver and the transmitter?
Have the receiver turned on and the transmitter off. Hold the IR on the transmitter in line with the IR on the receiver roughly a pointer fingers length away. Press and hold the Edit button until the screen says SCAN and just an F and *** appears. The unit will pick a channel. When IR SET blinks turn on the power to your transmitter. The transmitter should now show the same Channel as the Receiver.

I’d like to use two transmitters at once so where can I buy another transmitter?
Only one transmitter can be used per receiver per channel. If you’d like to use two microphones simultaneously, you’ll need to purchase a new system on a different channel. One transmitter can be used with multiple receivers though, as long as they are the same channel.

What’s the better system, N1 or N6?
The systems are identical aside from the channel they operate on. No channel is particularly better than any other channel. Some channels may work better than other channels depending if there is any interference in that area. Otherwise all the devices operate normally.

How many Airline 77 systems can be used at once?
Since we have six separate UHF channels (N1-N6) only a maximum of six systems can be used at the same time, assuming they are all on a different channel.

Why don’t you make equipment on the U-Channels anymore?
As of June 2010, all wireless equipment manufacturers had to stop producing equipment that works on the “700MHz Band”. Our older UHF systems with the U-Channels operated on that specific band of frequencies, and now we are prohibited by the FCC to manufacture, sell, use, or service that equipment, as it is now used by the FCC for emergency broadcast transmissions.

The LED on my transmitter turns on for a moment and then shuts off right after I turn it on, even with new batteries. Is my system broken?
No, the LED on your transmitter will flash, indicating that unit has powered on. If the light is staying steadily lit, it means your battery is running low, and should be changed shortly.

What does “squelch” do?
The squelch control adjusts the sensitivity of the receiver. At the minimum setting, the device will look for RF signals, and won’t filter out weaker signals. This setting is good for those who will be using their systems from longer distances. The maximum setting will ensure that only the strongest RF signals will be passed through. A high squelch setting is better for users who are trying to block out interference.

My audio meter only has three bars, is there something wrong?
No, the audo meter represents how much signal is being passed to the receiver. The more gain and or volume you have your transmitter set to, the more bars on the receiver will become active. As long as the bars are active, you are passing audio signal successfully.
